There are many who wish to import, but few who dare, since it is a slow and very complex process in which many parts interact from the origin of the idea

until the arrival of the goods at destination.

1.Be head-cleared about what you are searching for

For us it is common to receive multiple requests for vague projects in which there is a clear idea about what exactly to purchase."I want to import watches", "I would like to buy clothes in China", "How much a clock in China?" are questions too generic to think you have a real project in mind. Studying the market, searching their products, their range, their qualities, their prices and then look for the right product is the first step to import. To do this, you can go to Chinese suppliers websites such as Alibaba or Global Sources.

2.Certify the reliability of Chinese export companies

As important as choosing a specific product or product line is to verify that the Chinese company you have contacted by email really exists. To do this, you can use the respective Chambers of Commerce, some of which have a database where the legal registration of Chinese exporters is included, as well as permits, experience-financial capacity, etc.

3.Direct contact with the supplier

To build a lasting relationship with a good supplier, it is best to definitely visit the factory directly, because face-to-face contact will strengthen ties. Chinese merchants and manufacturers usually say: "To do business first we have to be friends." Therefore, the most direct contact, more posssiblities of establishing a goodbusiness relationship with a Chinese company.

4.First sample of the product

In this regard, a first sample is necessary to study thoroughly the product, but is not a panacea when it comes to ensuring the quality of our final order. For this

reason, it is always recommended that a purchasing agent or broker in China check that the goods meet the requirements of the importer and the final product will be identical to the sample that satisfied us from the beginning.

5. Learn about possible trade agreements and treaties between our country and China

International relations affect everyone involved in the world of imports. Therefore, before importing is always good to be informed on the agreements or FTA's,and what benefits we can get through them.
