1. Do market research and choose a product that you know and that you think will be popular in the market.
2. Investigate the import policy of your country and make import registration / obtain an import license to ensure that you are qualified to import merchandise from abroad and that you won´t have problem when you do importation procedures in your country.
3. Find suppliers in China and get quotes. It is advisable to search 3 to 5 suppliers and make a comparison of products and prices.
4. Select supplier and negotiate for the best price. If necessary, ask your supplier to send a sample and check the quality.
5. After reaching an agreement with the supplier, deposit 30% of the advance to confirm the order.
(Then the supplier will start the production.)
6. Pay 70% of balance when supplier finished the production. Note: In case of buying products in stock, suppliers usually charge 100% of the value once.
7. Hire the service of a logistics agent to send the merchandise to your country.
8. Confirm the data of invoice and packing list with the supplier and confirm the information of BL / AWB with the logistics agent.
9. Pay the freight and the supplier or logistics agent will send the documents for nationalization (CI, PL, BL / AWB) to you.
10. Send these documents to your customs agent and ask them to do the nationalization procedures when the merchandise arrive your country.
